Sports Massage is used for injury management and prevention, pre and post sports event preparation and recovery, flexibility, endurance and increased performance. It can be regularly incorporated into the athlete’s training program to optimize performance and enhance body maintenance and health management.

Relaxation Massage is a gentle and relaxing massage style based on the four basic Swedish Massage techniques.  Swedish Massage is most commonly used for feeling revitalized and renewed by providing relaxation and removing muscular tension in the body.  This style of massage will have a real sedating effect on the body and is perfect for all ages and most conditions,  especially those related to stress.

It is also a safe muscular and pain relieving therapy for people with Disability, Spinal Cord Injuries, Aged Care and conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Stroke and Cerebral Palsy etc.     

Special Oncology Massage (OM) training is required for this type of massage. A client with cancer or a history of cancer requires several treatment adjustments. As a caring holistic therapist I know that a comforting touch is essential for people undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment and other operations.    

There are 4 levels of Oncology Massage training with OM levels 3 & 4 requiring specialised hospital training. I have only completed Oncology Massage Level 2 (OM2) which unfortunately does not qualify me to work within the hospital system. I have been working on a weekly basis with MND, MS and Disability clients in Port Macquarie and the surrounding areas for almost 5 years.
